S5LECT Project Kick-Off Meeting

S5LECT project Kick-Off Meeting is now finished! This event was hosted by SNCF and attended by S5LECT consortium partners: SNCF, Railenium, GTS France, CEIT and RadioLabs, as well as Daniel Lopour, EUSPA representative.

The S5LECT Horizon Europe project stands as a beacon of innovation in the realm of satellite technology for railway. In line with GOVSATCOM developments, SNCF’s led project aims to make SatCom a realistic alternative to private networks, notably for critical communications. More than a SatCom link, S5LECT seeks to offer a seamless connectivity with terrestrial 5G and GSM-R. This hybrid architecture shall offer unparalleled accuracy and reliability, thereby creating a robust and efficient communication infrastructure.

The S5LECT consortium thanks EUSPA & the EC for their support of the S5LECT project. Through this support, all stakeholders are willing to include GOVSATCOM within the array of solutions that will significantly accelerate the digitalisation of railway infrastructures, empowering Europe’s positionning on Space for Rail.
